Dear Friend and Partners,

You and I are entering the most powerful spiritual season of the year and with it a special outpouring of God's grace, favor and protection!

It's the season we celebrate Passover and the Resurrection of our Lord. It's also the beginning of the spiritual New Year. Leviticus 23 calls these special seasons "appointed times." And they offer you and I a phenomenal opportunity to experience a supernatural breakthrough, especially in the area of finances.

As you probably know, when I study the scriptures I go back and research the original Jewish understanding and 'dig out' the ancient truths. The great sages of old describe Passover as one of several distinctive times on the biblical calendar where God will open special windows of opportunity.

Much of this revelation has been hidden in the book of Malachi. In Malachi 3, the famous chapter on tithes and offerings, God has shown me some of the missing keys to our financial success. But in order to receive everything that God has promised we need to understand some things that the church has not taught in almost 2,000 years.

Of course, we all understand the teaching on tithing; which is giving our ten percent. This automatically goes to honor the Lord, to support the local church and to preach the Gospel around the world. If you currently don't have a church home ask the Lord about sowing your tithe into our church here in Dallas.

What the church has really been missing is the understanding of what God means by the offering. We've always been taught it was the extra $50 we give above our tithe. While this is certainly a good thing and God always honors it; it is not what the Lord is teaching us here. In Malachi 3:4 God describes this offering as an 'offering of old'.

The ancient teaching reveals this 'offering of old' as a first fruits offering. It's what we are to give on three of the major biblical holidays-Passover, Pentecost and Sukkot. God says that during these celebrations we are not to come before Him empty-handed, or without a gift. (Deuteronomy 16:16)

Most Christians have never been taught this and it's this lack of knowledge that explains why we (the church) haven't seen the fullness of financial abundance. The miracle promise in Malachi is reserved for those who not only tithe but who also give these specific 'offerings of old.'

Now it gets even better! As we 'return to God' during the Passover season with our first fruits offering, the Lord promises to release three particular blessings; grace, favor and protection. God's grace opens the windows of heaven and releases unlimited blessing. God's favor opens financial and business doors of opportunity in way that only He can do. God's protection includes rebuking the devourer and His divine intervention against every enemy. Isn't God good!

But remember, it's your faithfulness to follow God's financial plan, which includes sowing your first fruits offering, that will set the stage for your miracle harvest. It's what will launch you into the spiritual New Year and activate a fresh outpouring of signs, wonders and miracles.

The Lord spoke to me about the need to prepare this offering in advance; to get ready ahead of time and plan something generous. Traditionally, the amount of the first fruits offering varies and can equal from one day to one week's salary. So let God begin to speak to you about a specific amount to sow…and begin setting it aside right now.

Then on Resurrection Sunday, April 4th Tiz and I will bring your offering before the Lord in a spirit of worship and thanksgiving. We will pray over your seed and every one of your needs. We will release God's grace, favor and protection over you, your family, your finances and your future. We will celebrate together in an atmosphere of anointing, power and praise.

So please, don't let this appointed season of blessing pass you by. Just as blind Bartimaeus did in Mark 10:46; step out in faith and seize the moment!
